Wet Paint

If you have ventured beyond the safety of your RSS feed or FB newsfeed, you’ll see there have been a few changes around here.

I have a new blog template. I’ve kicked the old Wordpress to the curb and am using tumblr instead. So far so good. I couldn’t keep up with the updates and tweaks required to keep my site up to date and running trouble free so now a online, hosted service is one less headache.

Don’t get me wrong! I’m not lazy, I’m just not a developer. I’m a graphic designer who has an overwhelming urge to tinker with everything to make it mine, and I have a compulsion to learn to do things myself. Hence I’ve been tinkering with this blog template. It’s not done, and it’s a little tricky having to do everything while the site is live. Sometimes this might look a little whacky, but I’m sure I’ll get to bloggy-satisfaction soon enough, unless there’s no such thing as a finished blog!

I’ve also transferred my portfolio to a hosted service called Cargo. It’s pretty magic but I do have the same issue of tinkering my site design live, so bear with me. It probably kills the ‘Designer as Perfectionist’ image I’m supposed to project, but I’m sure it says something even better about me.
